The Construction Field Project Representative will inspect land development, municipal, and infrastructure construction projects to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, and regulatory requirements. This individual will coordinate with the construction manager, contractors, municipal representatives, and design teams to monitor progress, document field conditions, and ensure compliance. Strong communication skills and field experience are essential for success in this role.
Job Functions
- Read and interpret construction plans, specifications and contract documents.
- Conduct field inspections of land development, municipal, and infrastructure construction projects to ensure conformance with plans and specifications.
- Monitor construction progress, materials, and workmanship for compliance.
- Document field activities, quantities, and deviations using daily inspection reports and photographs.
- Communicate field issues as they arise with contractors, engineers, and municipal representatives to resolve them.
- Review construction schedules and identify potential delays or conflicts.
- Review and verify contractor pay applications.
- Assist with project closeout documentation, punch lists, and as-built drawings.
- Comply with our company safety protocols.
- Provide input on construct-ability and recommend field adjustments as necessary.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or associate degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field.
- 1+ years of experience in land development, municipal or infrastructure construction inspection or management is preferred.
- Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and standards.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and inspection reporting software.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
