The City of Richland Hills is seeking a Fire Department Administrative Assistant. Under general supervision, this position provides administrative support to the fire department and fire department staff. This position will process multiple administrative support tasks for matters of a sensitive and official nature; as well as assist in developing and formulating the annual department budget, monitors and assists in coordinating the daily scheduling and assignment of activities for the department's staff, oversees the purchase of goods and services by staff as well as working with and maintaining contracts and contractors within the assigned department.

Job RequirementsAn Associate's Degree or higher is preferred. Five or more years of administrative experience. Experience working with public safey personnel is preferred. Possession of an appropriate, valid Texas Driver's License and ability to maintain while employed.
CompensationThe City of Richland Hills offers a competitive salary depending on qualifications and experience. The City participates in the Texas Municipal Retirement System (TMRS) at a 7% employee deposit rate with a City matching ratio of 2:1. The City pays 100% of the employee’s medical, dental and term life insurance, and contributes 50% to dependent medical coverage. Employees receive paid vacation and sick leave, and eleven (11) paid holidays which accrue at the beginning of the year and may be used at any time.
The City offers a compressed work schedule Monday through Thursday from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm with Fridays off.
