PositionSummary
The Community Center Aide involves assisting in the coordination of programs, providing excellent customer service to community members, and ensuring a welcoming and safe environment for all participants. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a passion for community engagement, and the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.
Duties- Assist in the planning, setup, and execution of community programs, events, and activities. This includes preparing materials, coordinating logistics, and supporting facilitators as needed.
- Greet and assist visitors, answer inquiries, provide information about center programs and services, and handle any concerns or issues that arise.
- Ensure that the community center facilities are clean, organized, and well-maintained. Report any maintenance needs or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Help with administrative duties such as scheduling, data entry, and maintaining records. Assist with registration processes and track attendance for programs and events.
- Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere by engaging with community members, promoting center activities, and encouraging participation.
- Work closely with other staff members and volunteers to support the center’s goals and contribute to a cohesive team environment.
This is a part-time position with a general work schedule of 9:00 am – 3:00 pm Monday – Friday. Scheduled hours may vary, including evenings and weekends.
Typical Qualifications Education, Licenses, Certifications- High School diploma or GED
- Active certification for CPR/AED/First-Aid or ability to acquire within 6 months
- Must possess State of Texas Driver’s License or be able to acquire within a reasonable time.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks
- Proficiency in basic computer applications
- Commitment to providing excellent service
- Friendly, approachable, and able to work well in a team.
- Demonstrates flexibility, reliability, and a proactive attitude.
