Position: TJJD - Program Specialist I - Schedule Administrator - (MCL) - 55337

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Provides routine (journey-level) consultative services and technical assistance to facility team leaders, supervisors, and managers regarding work/shift schedules, leave processes, and reporting. Coordinates shift data, monitors system issues, gathers and analyzesಕರ್ತ, and produces reports and correspondence. Performs under moderate supervision, may work beyond 40 hours per week and be on-call.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Plan, develop, implement, analyze, and document agency programs.
  • Enter data and conduct inquiries in the campus shift scheduling system and other automated systems.
  • Analyze reports, logs, or forms; research discrepancies; correct data.
  • Track, monitor, coordinate, and schedule activities to meet deadlines.
  • Communicate internally and externally to provide, exchange, or verify information, answer inquiries, and resolve issues.
  • Prepare management reports and respond to issues.
  • Identify and report system problems.
  • Collect, organize, analyze, and prepare materials in response to program information requests.
  • Provide consultysts services and technical assistance for agency programs.
  • Prepare administrative reports and specialized projects.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in computer use for essential functions.
  • Report any perception of racial, ethnic, or gender disparities.
  • Perform any related duties as assigned.
  • Follow agency safety policies, report hazards, complete required documentation for accidents.
  • Attend regularly according to agency attendance and leave policies.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Six (6) years of full-time wage‑earning experience in program management, administrative support, or Juvenile Correctional Officer / Youth Development Coach roles.
  • Experience LOSS: 30 course hours of undergraduate study may substitute one year of experience; part‑time experience may satisfy requirements.
  • Delivery of required certifications and documentation.
  • Pass a criminal background check and other qualifications.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, education, public administration, criminal justice, social sciences, or related field.

  • Knowledge of agency policies, public administration, program management, office procedures, record‑keeping, automated shift scheduling.
  • Skill in using a computer and software, office organization, answering telephones.
  • Able to gather, analyze facts, prepare reports and documents, implement procedures, interpret policies, communicate effectively, organize work, provide guidance, maintain relationships, prioritize tasks, prepare accurate records, make sound decisions, maintain confidentiality, and work independently under pressure.
  • Willingness to work beyond 40 hours per week and be on‑call.
