Location: Anson
Responsibilities Audit Engagements
- Assist in planning and execution of statutory audit engagements in accordance with SSA and firm policies.
- Perform audit fieldwork, prepare working papers, and draft financial statements.
- Identify and elevate accounting and auditing issues to Senior/Manager.
- Assist in preparing audit planning documents and risk assessments.
- Support the team to ensure engagements are completed within agreed timelines.
- Liaise with clients to obtain audit information under guidance of Senior/Manager.
- Respond to audit queries in a timely and professional manner.
- Gain understanding of clients’ business operations and internal controls.
- Guide and assist junior staff in completing assigned audit tasks.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure quality audit delivery.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS), Companies Act, and relevant regulatory updates.
- Ensure all audit procedures and documentation meet the firm’s quality control standards and ISQC 1 (or ISQM
1) requirements. - Safeguard confidentiality and adhere to the firm’s Code of Ethics and professional conduct.
- Monitor engagement progress, billing, and collection status, and report variances to the manager/partner.
- Participate in internal initiatives such as training, process improvement, or technical updates.
- Handle ad hoc assignments and other duties as assigned by management.
- A recognised degree in Accountancy and professional accounting qualifications such as CA Singapore, ACCA, CPA Australia or equivalent.
- At least 5 years’ experience in accounting firm or equivalent.
- A strong understanding of technical skills, specifically in SFRS/IFRS and SSA/ISA.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills with customers and cross‑functional teams.
- Strong analytical skills and excellent business acumen.
- Strong team leadership & people management skills.
- Proactive and have a positive attitude towards challenges.
- The ability to adapt to changes in technology.
