The Senior Accountant will work remotely and report to the Accounting Manager. The key responsibilities and duties of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Support timely monthly financial close processes, including preparing journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts, managing accruals, performing bank reconciliations and maintaining operational management accounts
• Perform general accounting tasks across various areas such as cash accounts, prepaid accounts, taxes, travel and expenses, and other functions as assigned
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce redundancies, and strengthen internal controls through tools and automation
• Prepare and analyze financial reports, collecting, summarizing, and identifying trends in account information
• Collaborate across all levels and with budget owners or other stakeholders to ensure an accurate and timely month-end close
• Support audit activities and respond to inquiries in a timely manner
• Assist in gathering information for tax return preparation
• Provide professional, timely customer service when interacting with internal and external stakeholders
• Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent certification
• 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines independently
• Proficient computer skills including solid working knowledge of Excel
• Demonstrates ethical behavior and professionalism at all times
• Must be willing to submit a background check and pre-employment drug screening
• Must be eligible to work in the US

• 3+ years of experience in corporate/general ledger function or combination with public accounting
• Solid understanding of accounting concepts, financial statements, and GAAP
• Experience supporting cost accounting and manufacturing operations, with working knowledge of inventory accounting, standard costing, and related variance analysis
• Knowledge of Net Suite or similar ERP systems is a plus
• Collaborative team player with a proactive work style that enhances team-oriented environment
• Excellent communication skills, with ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
• High level of motivation, flexibility, and meticulous attention to detail
• Experience in a manufacturing, consumer-packaged goods (CPG), or a private equity portfolio company

• Must be able to relay accurate information via multiple communication channels, including verbal and written mechanisms
• Ability to remain in a stationary position for up to 8 hours
• Ability to operate a computer and other office technology
• Ability to observe details at close range
• Occasionally travel for work up to 5% of the time
