Staff Accountant

Location: Carrollton

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Carrollton, Texas. This position is a contract role with the potential for long-term employment, offering the chance to grow your expertise in general accounting processes. The ideal candidate will bring strong skills in Excel, time management, and communication, along with a solid foundation in accounting or finance.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare accurate and timely journal entries to support financial reporting.

- Assist with audit fieldwork, including both operational and financial audits.

- Contribute to month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure all financial records are up-to-date.

- Create financial statements and reconcile accounts to maintain the integrity of the general ledger.

- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in accounts to ensure accuracy.

- Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accounts payable and receivable records.

- Manage payroll processes, including bi-monthly payroll tasks.

- Utilize accounting software such as Quick Books and SAP to perform daily tasks efficiently. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for efficient data management and analysis.

- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger processes.

- Strong knowledge of accounting software, including Quick Books and SAP.

- Ability to perform bank reconciliations and handle journal entries with accuracy.

- Familiarity with month-end close procedures and financial statement preparation.

- Excellent time management and organizational skills.

- Strong analytical and interpersonal communication abilities.
