We are seeking a Provider Solutions Specialist for our team to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. This role supports providers in a healthcare setting with a balanced mix of customer service, project management, sales, leadership, training, and technology skills.

Overview

The Provider Solutions Specialist is an integral role for HCA IT&S. The role works closely with providers and with an ecosystem of healthcare professionals across facilities and divisions to enhance the provider experience with technologies and optimize clinical workflows.

Responsibilities
  • Assist providers throughout the healthcare continuum from introduction to adoption and utilization of HCA technologies.
  • Ensure providers and staff have training and instruction on how to access and effectively utilize healthcare technologies.
  • Respond to, triage, and coordinate provider support needs for seamless service delivery.
  • Maintain collaborative relationships across business units and communicate provider technology enablers.
  • Understand the dynamic landscape of Health IT, digital access points, and common clinical workflows.
Support
  • Implementation/Change Management: assist in implementation and support of systems and technologies deployed to physicians and physician offices; participate in projects affecting physicians; ensure adherence to standards and guidelines.
  • Support Requests: proactively identify physician support needs; provide technology support to facility-based and referring physicians; coordinate service requests and incident resolutions; document interactions and confirm needs are met.
  • Access & Security: manage provider access, confidentiality, and compliance; conduct or assist with access reviews and audits.
  • Provider Utilization: track and enhance provider use of HCA technologies; provide on-site training and elbow support.
  • Partnerships: contribute to division and facility strategic planning related to physician product lines; liaison for new provider-related applications.
Training
  • Plan, develop, track, and deliver training for providers, hospital partners, and physician office staff on new and current applications and workflows.
  • Develop and customize educational materials for HCA IT&S solutions; deliver trainings and demos; train-the-trainer approaches as needed.
  • Deliver presentations and trainings across multiple settings; adapt to audience and technology to meet needs.
  • Develop testing procedures, conduct pilot trainings, and provide feedback to project leads.
  • Learn application functionality to effectively teach others how to install and use applications on their devices.
Customer Service
  • Partner with facility and division colleagues to enable a successful physician experience and improved customer service interactions.
  • Communicate effectively with customers with confidence and patience; follow up after issue resolution to close the service loop.
  • Seek feedback to identify areas for improvement and manage commitments to customers.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Organizational skills; ability to organize and prioritize tasks; attention to detail; flexibility to adapt to change.
  • Leadership, professional demeanor, self-motivation, and goal orientation.
  • Strong communication with clinical and IT personnel, including customer-facing teaching abilities.
  • Relationship building with facility leadership, physicians, and end-users; ability to work collaboratively with others.
  • Problem solving; ability to handle multiple duties and understand clinical workflows and how systems are used in physician practices.
  • Clinical/Technical expertise with experience supporting clinical applications and using clinical information systems.
  • Belief that technology improves patient care and the ability to translate that into tools for caregivers.
Education & Experience
  • College graduate or advanced coursework or related experience.
  • Three years of previous experience in a healthcare-related field preferred.
  • Occasional travel required.
