Overview

The Circular Economy Powered Renewable Energy Centre (CEPREC) is a Pan-African Research Centre of Excellence dedicated to advancing sustainable energy solutions in Africa through circular economy principles. Supported by UKRI through the UK Government's £1 billion Ayrton Fund, CEPREC fosters collaboration among government, industry, and academia. The center drives innovation, develops cutting-edge knowledge, and builds skills to support Africa's energy transition.

Its multidisciplinary approach addresses key challenges in energy systems and sustainability.

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Vice President Finance, based in Texas City, TX, with flexibility to work remotely at selected times. The Vice President of Finance will oversee financial planning, financial reporting, and the preparation of financial statements. Responsibilities also include managing budgets, ensuring regulatory compliance, analyzing financial performance, and delivering financial insights to support strategic decision-making. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with leadership teams to align financial strategies with organizational goals.

• Expertise in Financial Planning and experience with budget management
• Proficiency in Financial Statements preparation and Financial Reporting
• Strong Analytical Skills and a solid understanding of Finance principles
• Demonstrated leadership in financial management and strategic decision-making
• Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred
• Experience working within a nonprofit, energy, or research-focused organization is a plus
