We are seeking a Fixed Equipment Mechanical Reliability Engineer to serve as the site’s subject matter expert for fixed equipment, including tanks, vessels, and piping. This role supports inspections, repairs, mechanical integrity programs, and long-term reliability planning for the Texas City manufacturing site.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and manage inspection and mechanical integrity programs aligned with company policies and government regulations.
- Support Asset Integrity KPIs and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Participate in incident investigations, reporting, corrective actions, and training.
- Maintain and improve systems and procedures for fixed equipment mechanical integrity.
- Apply and interpret relevant codes and standards (API, ASME, ANSI, etc.).
- Support compliance with PSM and MI standards.
- Act as the technical expert for fixed equipment design, maintenance, and repairs.
- Coordinate long-term reliability plans with manufacturing assets and Asset Care.
- Provide engineering guidance for maintenance procedures and project design reviews.
- Lead or support RCFA, turnaround planning, and capital project development.
- Monitor equipment performance and identify cost-saving and reliability improvement opportunities.
- Provide emergency and after-hours technical support as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering (or equivalent).
- 3+ years of experience in reliability or support engineering within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of safety, environmental, and mechanical integrity requirements.
- Working knowledge of industry standards (API, ASME, ASTM, ASNT, PIP, OSHA, EPA, and other RAGAGEP).
- Experience with preventive/predictive maintenance methods and fixed equipment reliability.
- Familiarity with SAP Plant Maintenance preferred.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving ability.
