Job Overview
Math tutors provide content and skill‑development tutoring to College of the Mainland students individually or in small groups.
Eligibility & RequirementsBachelor’s in Math or STEM related field required. Some tutoring or teaching experience.
Master’s in Math or STEM related field preferred. Familiarity with the TSI and HESI test. Must be able to tutor through Calculus II, Developmental Mathematics, and integrate the use of a graphing calculator.
- Able to tutor through Calculus III.
- Possess knowledge of Statistics, Finite Math and Quantitative Reasoning.
- Provide content and skill‑development tutoring to students individually or in small groups.
- Maintain a tutoring schedule as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records of tutoring sessions.
- Attend and complete required tutor training.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all student information, material, and discussions shared in the tutoring relationship.
- Perform additional related job duties as required.

CompensationMinimum Salary: $16.25/hour
Mid Point Salary: $16.25/hour
