Nursing adjunct position for the didactic setting and/or clinical rotations teaching vocational and/or ADN students.

Masters Degree in Nursing and/or Healthcare Administration with Texas Licensure;
Three (3) years of recent relevant clinical practice experience in a medical setting.

Preferred Education/Training/Experience
Two years experience in a higher education setting as Nursing Adjunct or Nursing Professor.
Principles and practices of teaching;
Training techniques;
Detailed knowledge of material being taught in the specific course and program area;
Knowledge of student engagement techniques;
Record keeping procedures.
Communication, interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with students, coworkers, supervisor, the general public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.
Ability to conduct formal classes in all nursing subject areas.
Ability to provide supervision to students during clinical practicums.
Ability to adapt instructional content in order to meet learning needs of students from varied educational and cultural backgrounds.

Recent experience commensurate with curriculum
Job Duties
Responsible for providing instruction within the vocational and/or ADN program(s). Provide scheduled office hours for student consultation. Participate in student orientation and adjunct orientation.
Licensing/Certification Requirements
Current and Unencumbered Texas RN or Texas multistate licensure.
Clear Drug Screen.
Clear Background check
Proof of immunizations and clinical readiness documentation.
Physical Requirements
High physical demand. Must be able to stoop, bend, lift, and assist in patient care/clinical teaching situations, or demonstrate ability to perform tasks successful. Possible exposure to communicable diseases through patient care clinical experience. Must be able to work evenings and/or nights, and/or weekends when assigned.
