Marathon Petroleum Co. is seeking a Call-in Physician to provide ongoing clinical collaboration, oversight, and support to Nurse Practitioners and/or Physician Assistants to ensure high-quality worker health and wellbeing services across assigned locations. This role includes monthly onsite clinical presence, medical record review, mentoring and education of onsite providers, and completion of required documentation in alignment with corporate medical standards and applicable state regulations.
This position will be providing services to Marathon Petroleum employees located in Texas City and San Antonio, Texas.

- Provide clinical collaboration and support of total worker health and wellbeing to Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants under the direction of Marathon’s Corporate Medical Director and according to applicable state laws and regulations and the requirements of the Marathon Petroleum Company.
- Provide no less than 2 hours of onsite clinical support per month at Component clinics. If applicable state law requires more than 2 hours of on-site presence, the physician will comply with the required amount.
- Conduct mentoring and educational activities at least once per month, including teaching, scientific updates, clinical skills development, and subject matter expertise for health and wellbeing through periodic educational presentations at Component clinics and work sites.
- Conduct physician-specific examinations/evaluations not able to be completed by the on-site provider when needed.
- Review no fewer than 3 patient medical records per month. If applicable state law requires more than 3 records, the physician will comply with the required amount.
- Meet with the NP/PA to review findings and action plans in support of total worker health.
- Complete and provide required documentation to the Corporate Medical Director monthly and as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Medical Doctoral/Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree
- Completion of medical residency program in Occupational Medicine or Family/Internal Medicine
- Five (5) years of experience in worker wellbeing, total health & wellness, in a manufacturing or oil & gas environment preferred
- Unrestricted US medical license
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and be flexible
- Strong problem solving and analytical skill
- Effective communication and interaction with employees, patients, providers, and other colleagues
- Ability to use tact and diplomacy appropriate to the situation
- Excellent customer service skills
