The primary purpose of this position is to: perform support for the attorneys in the collection of delinquent property taxes.

Essential Functions:

• Answering telephone; shares duties with other staff members in fielding general property tax inquiries resulting from mailings, citations, judgment notices, sheriff sales, payoff requests from property owners, title.
• Responding to mail inquiries, faxes, and emails; shares duties with other staff members in responding to requests for payoff and all other inquiries about mailings, lawsuits, sheriff sales, payoff requests, and general inquiries.
• Litigation support: enters notes into Oracle system, keeps track of returned citations; assists attorneys in researching addresses for re‑issued citations; sends citations to constables for service of process; tracks service of citations and various other matters related to litigation.
• Taxpayer Liaison: shares duties with other staff members in meeting with property owners in response to mailings, lawsuits, sheriff sales; this position and other staff members share duties in taking payments from property owners making installment payments under active installment payment agreements which make monthly payments through our office; logs payments into Oracle check tracking.
