Journeyman Electrician (Full‑Time)

Base pay: $70,000.00 /yr – $ /yr.

Texarkana, TX. This is a permanent, full‑time position.

We are an electrical contractor specializing in commercial/industrial projects in TX, AR, LA, and OK. We are looking for a skilled and experienced Journeyman Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the construction industry, focusing on electrical systems. This role requires a hands‑on approach, working on various projects, ensuring all electrical systems are installed and functioning efficiently.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical code knowledge, commercial/industrial electric requirements, safety protocols, laying conduit, installing panels, relays, and more. Experience working on telecom, hospitals, data centers, or industrial buildings is highly desirable.

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
• Read blueprints and technical diagrams to ensure proper electrical installations.
• Inspect electrical components, such as transformers, circuit breakers, and wiring to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and electrical codes.
• Manage time effectively to meet project deadlines and maintain high‑quality work.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
• Install, maintain, and repair fire alarm systems, access controls, and other complex electrical devices.
• Handle tasks related to wiring, conduit, relays, building panels, control panels, and PLCs.
• Repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures.
• Work with team members to problem‑solve complex electrical issues.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Journeyman Electrician in the construction industry.
• Proven experience with blueprint reading, safety protocols, electrical code knowledge, time management, and problem‑solving.
• Extensive knowledge and experience with electrical equipment inspection, troubleshooting, PLC, Servo Motor, fire alarm, access controls, conduit, relays, wiring, building panels, and control panels.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and repair electrical problems.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety and quality.
• Exceptional time management skills with the ability to meet project deadlines.
• Must possess a valid electrician's license.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various weather conditions.
