As a Prepared Foods and Café Department Lead, you will drive sales in your area and supervise a team of hourly associates who create and serve meals to our members—giving them what they love, for less. You will model expertise in Prepared Foods and Café, collaborate with other team leaders, and ensure the club meets members’ expectations.

• Lead the prepared foods departments, including café, rotisserie, and other fresh areas, facilitating teams through rotations and managing member needs.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of floor and back‑room operations to ensure quality, inventory, production, sanitation, equipment usage, safety, and compliance standards are met.
• Manage seasonality, understand new products, recipes, processes, and production specifications, and prioritize time between areas.
• Collaborate with associates and third parties to provide resources, share knowledge, and train the team.
• Leverage digital tools to plan for and drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement, using handheld technology for immediate business decisions.
• Own business results, ensuring commitment to operational excellence, profitability, neatness, cleanliness, safety, staffing, audit, and compliance.
• Drive merchandising and partner with other departments and vendors for operational continuity.
• Identify and develop training needs, teach and mentor team members, and support career growth.
• Promote compliance with company policies, procedures, ethics, and integrity through guidance and action plans.
• Build a culture of belonging, respect, and integrity, supporting Walmart’s regenerative vision and serving customers with excellence.

• 6 months experience in a fresh production department or 6 months experience supervising a team.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to complete required trainings and assessments within the prescribed period.

• Food Handler Certification (Food Safety).
