All about On Demand:
You can work as much or as little as you like as an On-Demand Team Member (TM) with schedules that vary by shift availability and store needs. You will not be included on the posted weekly schedule, but you can create your own schedule by picking up shifts posted by leaders or other team members via the myTime mobile scheduling app.

Reliability and attendance are essential. You must respond to communication attempts and engage with shifts at least once every 4 weeks (minimum of four hours). If you do not work a shift within 5 months, employment may be terminated.

What We Are Looking For:
This may be the right job for you if you enjoy interacting with guests and fellow team members, thrive in a fast-moving environment, and are flexible with hours, including nights, weekends and holidays. Training is provided, but some skills are helpful from the start.

As a Guest Advocate, you will develop the following skills and experiences:

• Communicating and interacting with guests to build an inclusive guest experience
• Problem solving and decision making to resolve guest concerns
• Adapting to different guest interactions and situations
• Promoting and informing guests about benefits, offerings and services

A typical day will include the following responsibilities:

• Demonstrate a service culture by delivering the service standard
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests while completing daily tasks
• Assist guests to solve their specific needs in a friendly manner
• Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services to resolve issues and improve guest experience
• Thank guests for choosing Target
• Scan and bag items efficiently and in compliance with safety standards
• Minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy
• Inform guests about current brand launches, store activities and events
• Explain and assist with Target Loyalty programs and fulfillment services
• Guide guests on using Wallet and other Target App features
• Navigate returns and follow register prompts with leadership support as needed
• De-escalate situations and recover the guest shopping experience per policies
• Provide easy and accurate service for Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and assist with stocking during open hours
• Uphold ethical conduct, safety and compliance, and report hazards
• Support guest services such as order pick up and drive-up while complying with relevant laws
• Assist with cash office processes as needed
• All other duties based on business needs

• Accurate cash handling and cash office support as needed
• Ability to scan, handle and move merchandise; lifting up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 44 pounds occasionally
• Flexibility to pick up shifts to meet store needs
• Must be able to work in varying temperatures and environments, including Drive-Up and carryout
• Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a shift
