Provides direct nursing care and/or coordinates the delivery of psychiatric services. General duties include assisting physicians in monitoring client's response to medications, ensuring physician orders are followed. The LVN provides medication education to clients and their families. The nurse screens medication related phone calls for the physician. The nurse in conjunction with the clinic team ensures that the physician has the proper documentation and treatment information to deliver services.
Duties are carried out in accordance with nursing licensure standards and established policies and procedures of Community Healthcore.
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Licensed in the state of Texas to practice as a LVN. Current valid driver's license in state of residence. Current Health Care Provider CPR training certification.
Experience/KnowledgeMust demonstrate knowledge and applied competency in standards of nursing practice for Licensed Vocational Nurse.
Physical requirements that are bona fide occupational qualifications essential to the performance of the jobAbility and strength to sit, bend, and reach during an 8 to 10 hour day. Able to lift a minimum of 10 pounds. Sensory acuity sufficient to evaluate, treat, and monitor patient needs and maintain accurate records. Ability to physically perform SAMA. Fine motor skills sufficient to legibly document or communicate. Routine 8 to 10 hour shifts with weekends off.
