JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for the overall operation of all programs and services in the assigned division/region. Acts in accordance with the policies and directives of the Board of Directors and under the specific direction of the Regional Vice President of Programs.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Establish connections with every Presbyterian Church Pastor in the assigned service area. Offer “Mission Moments” and other opportunities to build relationships with local churches, and extend invitations for the pastors to personally tour our facilities, homes, and day programs.
  • Establish relationships with every state legislator with each legislator that resides in the assigned service area where services are present. Organizes tours of our facilities, ideally scheduled after the legislative session ends each year or a month or two before it begins. Invitations to attend these tours will be extended to local board members, parents, staff, volunteers, and other key stakeholders in the area.

    When possible, RVP of the region will also be invited to attend.
  • Serve as an engaged member of the local Chamber of Commerce, actively participating in meetings and networking events to build valuable connections within our community. Continuously enhance your leadership skills by attending local training sessions whenever possible.
  • Maintain regular communication with the parents, guardians, family members of all persons served. Host quarterly meetings/luncheons as an effort to facilitate communication.
  • Provide comprehensive orientation sessions to parents, guardians, and family members of new residents/individuals served.
  • Collaborate with our marketing and communications team to develop informative materials for family members specific to each division and the services we offer.
  • Proactively seek out speaking opportunities at local civic clubs and other organizations such as Kiwanis or Rotary Clubs.
  • Establish relationships with foundation executives in assigned service areas, such as those at community foundations, and identify other potential funders including city, county, and United Way executives and program staff. Attend relevant trainings and meetings offered by these organizations to stay informed and connected as a nonprofit leader in the community.
  • Engage in annual strategy sessions facilitated by our Chief Strategy and Innovation Officer (CSIO) using the Mission/Money Matrix process.
  • Oversee the daily operation of the division through supervision of home managers and other program supervisors/managers.
  • Establish and implement policies and procedures which assure that the best interest of individuals served, staff, and facilities are served at all times.
  • Provide financial information needed for preparation of the annual budget and ensure that division operates within that budget.
  • Regularly review monthly financial statements and take necessary actions to address any budget variances promptly.
  • Ensure the proper maintenance of all records, funds, and statistics.
  • Meets with licensing and other authorized inspection groups.
  • Authorize purchases of supplies and equipment within established guidelines.
  • Review oral and written reports of events and incidents, and provide clear instructions in verbal or written form for any matters requiring a decision.
  • Ensure that all facilities are in compliance with health and safety requirements.
  • Review all case histories of referrals and make appropriate recommendations in collaboration with support teams where applicable.
  • Conduct interviews of both potential individuals served and staff.
  • Counsel with both individuals served and staff on current problems and program execution to ensure that we are providing effective support and addressing any challenges that may arise.
