Job OverviewWe are hiring a Chemist to join us onsite in Texarkana, TX. The Chemist will perform laboratory testing of environmental samples, quality samples, and safety samples in support of facility operations using a wide variety of test instrumentation. The role also involves method development and research as necessary.
Principal Responsibilities- Analyze potentially hazardous samples from production, raw materials, and expired materials in accordance with established SOPs. Primarily achieved by utilizing analytical balances, distillation apparatuses, vacuum ovens, wet chemistry techniques, and calorimeters. (50%)
- Perform routine maintenance of test instrumentation, equipment, and chemical work spaces. (15%)
- Process and report test data results and related communication as needed. (15%)
- Develop new methods and procedures as needed by working with other laboratory staff and referencing technical publications. (15%)
- Assist other chemists at other Company or Government locations. (5%)
Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) or higher in Chemistry or a closely related discipline (Required)
Minimum Work Experience4+ years previous experience involving laboratory analysis of materials (Required)
Travel RequirementsEstimated 5% travel as needed.
Licenses And CertificationsValid Driver License (Required)

- Theoretical knowledge of analytical chemistry techniques and their application
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and governmental regulations
- Strong team working skills
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Strong numerical and analytical ability and the ability to solve complex problems
- Ability to precisely follow formulas and SOPs with obsessive attention to detail
- Excellent computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office Programs

PayTransparency
In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the wage range for this role is $76,640 - $114,950. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
