The Engineering Manager leads a team of engineers supporting manufacturing operations and capital projects. This role is responsible for technical execution, project delivery, budget control, and people leadership across multiple engineering initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and support a team of engineers across multiple manufacturing projects
- Own technical quality and engineering discipline standards for assigned projects
- Manage project planning, scheduling, budgets, cost estimates, and payback analysis
- Prepare proposals, technical documentation, and cost justification
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
- Establish staffing plans, assign work, evaluate performance, and recommend personnel actions
- Develop reporting structures for project status, risks, and performance metrics
- Plan, organize, monitor, and control ongoing and future engineering activities
- Perform additional duties as needed
- Hands-on Lean Manufacturing methods
- Facilities planning and layout
- Cost estimating and budget management
- Technical and proposal writing
- Project management and scheduling (Microsoft Project or similar)
- Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills
- 10+ years of manufacturing experience (high-hazard or regulated environments a plus)
- 3+ years of supervisory or people-management experience
- 2+ years of experience in project management, ISO, risk management, or regulated environments
- Master’s degree in engineering, production management, business, or related field preferred
- Advanced degree may substitute for up to 4 years of experience
- Salary range: $124,080 – $170,000
, depending on experience and location
- Ability to work onsite in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to walk, climb, kneel, lift (15+ lbs), and perform repetitive motions
- Ability to read, write, and communicate technical information clearly
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment
- Ability to work in variable environmental conditions
