Clerical, Office Administrator/ Coordinator

Administrative Assistant, Announcement #2603This is a full‑time position located in the Texarkana, Texas, office. The position is responsible for greeting the public, handling telephone calls, assisting with fax and copy machines, and providing secretarial, clerical and administrative support services as required.
Responsibilities- Greet the public professionally.
- Handle telephone calls.
- Assist with fax and copy machines as requested.
- Provide secretarial, clerical and administrative support services.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Two (2) years experience in general clerical and office procedures; only experience during the last ten (10) years will be considered.
- Preferred experience or knowledge of Aging or other social services programs.
- Specialized clerical training may be substituted for experience.
- Knowledge of switchboard operations, standard office practices and procedures, proper spelling, punctuation and grammar usage, and general office equipment.
- Digital marketing experience is a plus.
- Excellent communication with the public, elected officials and employees.
- Proficiency using a PC in a Windows environment, including Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Maintain front desk records with precision and accuracy.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co‑workers, governmental agencies, and the general public.
- Ability to see, hear, reach, stoop, bend, and lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
- Must perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Valid motor vehicle operator’s license subject to an approved motor vehicle report and reliable transportation with valid proof of insurance for travel within the ATCOG region.
- State of Texas Notary Certification preferred.
