You arrive for your shift in Hope, AR and start with a quick sweep of the production floor—safety and order first. A line operator flags a vibration on a gearbox. You pull precision measurement tools, check a gear reducer and motor alignment, and verify lubrication. Later, a pneumatic actuator hesitates; you trace the issue through the schematic, confirm pressures, and swap a valve.
An electrical fault pops up on another line—out come the meters as you verify continuity, test voltages, and solder a clean repair. In between calls, you knock out preventive tasks and a few building maintenance items to keep the facility running smoothly.
- Repair and maintain production machinery and electrical equipment with a strong safety focus
- Troubleshoot gear reducers, motors, hydraulics, and pneumatics
- Perform electro‑mechanical installations and use precision measurement instruments
- Read and interpret electrical schematics
- Use electrical tools/meters and perform soldering as needed
- Support general building and facilities maintenance and maintain a clean, organized work area
- Reasoning, communication, organizational, mechanical, and troubleshooting strengths
- Working knowledge of welding and proficiency with basic hand tools
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; prior manufacturing background helpful
- Electrical experience preferred; strong critical thinking and timely response under pressure
- Willing to work any shift (including nights and weekends), holidays, and overtime as needed
- Math skills: add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
Be the go‑to problem solver who keeps production moving. If you thrive on diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues and take pride in a well‑kept, safe workspace, this is your next step.
