Retail Service Specialist at O'Reilly Auto Parts
Compensation Pay Range: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation may include annual, quarterly performance bonuses, or premiums based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
Essential Job Functions- Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
- Supervise customer service levels in the retail showroom and ensure team members execute customer service programs such as Related Sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc.
- Ensure the telephone is answered according to company policy.
- Process all buy online/ship to store, hub-to-store, and store-to-store transfers and DC add orders promptly, contacting customers about shipment arrivals as needed.
- Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently and in accordance with procedure, using the electronic outside purchase order ledger.
- Process retail customer returns and exchanges efficiently and kindly, issue refunds accurately with the correct payment methods, and stage returned merchandise in the returns area correctly.
- Invoice all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, before product leaves the store.
- Communicate Zipline messages and delegate Image Maker and merchandising tasks as assigned.
- Ensure team members adhere to posted schedules; obtain management approval for any changes or deviations, and ensure proper clock‑in/out practices.
- Perform all store opening and closing duties, including day‑end procedures, verifying/securing money and deposits, preparing bank deposits, ensuring security lights are on and doors are locked, arming/disarming alarms, and securing delivery vehicles.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Required:
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to obtain RSS Certification.
- Desired:
- Retail sales experience, preferably in auto parts.
- Automotive systems and repair knowledge.
- ASE Certification.
- Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).
