Retail & Store Manager, Customer Service Rep
Position Summary
Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching training and actively listening to associates while touring stores and providing feedback. Communicates and collaborates with all levels of associates regarding store operations, utilizing technology and company initiatives. Introduces and leads company change efforts, provides clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions, and communicates business objectives effectively. Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards to store associates using the One Best Way (OBW) service model, managing and supporting customer service initiatives such as Community Outreach Programs.
Ensures customer needs, complaints, and issues are resolved successfully, develops and implements action plans to correct deficiencies, and provides process improvement leadership to ensure a high‑quality customer experience. Drives the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing profit/loss statements, managing budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses, and ensuring effective merchandise presentation and inventory flow. Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates, hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting clear expectations, and promoting a sense of belonging while recruiting qualified associates to meet staffing needs and company growth potential.
Coordinates and oversees job‑related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, providing direction and guidance, and ensuring compliance with company policies and standards of ethics and integrity. Builds high‑performing teams, embraces diversity, fosters a culture of belonging, and retains top talent.
Execute and support the Open Door Policy, implement action plans that align with Walmart’s values, and reinforce a culture of integrity. Serve customers and members by delivering results while prioritizing customer needs and applying price leadership models. Make decisions based on data insights and analysis, balance short and long‑term priorities, and consider stakeholders including customers, associates, suppliers, and communities. Drive continuous improvements by adopting new technologies and skills, supporting others through change, and encouraging a learning mindset.
BasePay Range
$65,000.00 / yr – $80,000.00 / yr

Minimum Qualifications- 2 years of college experience; OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience.
- For facilities that sell firearms: successful completion of a firearms‑specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training.
- For facilities that sell only ammunition: a current state‑issued Certificate of Eligibility may be required.
- All associates must attend and complete required job‑training and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings).
- Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership via Live Better U and Bellevue University.
- Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership via Live Better U and Bellevue University.
- General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing responsibilities.
