Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Recovery Specialist – Inpatient to support clients during one of the most critical phases of the substance use recovery process. This role provides medical and emotional support within a structured, residential treatment environment and is ideal for individuals motivated to make a meaningful impact in the lives of others. This position supports a male-only inpatient program, ensuring safety, structure, and therapeutic engagement while assisting clients as they transition to step-down levels of care.
- Ensure the safety and structure of the program milieu by monitoring client activities
- Observe and supervise clients and conduct 30-minute well-being checks
- Conduct telephone admission screenings and assist with admissions processes
- Search client belongings at admission and discharge in accordance with policy
- Complete all required checklists, shift documentation, and records accurately and on time
- Follow agency policies, procedures, and confidentiality standards
- Support clients through structured programming, case management, and group services
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to work afternoon/evening shifts in an inpatient setting
- Strong interpersonal, observation, and documentation skills
Preferred:
- Experience working with substance use disorder populations
- Valid Driver’s License in good standing
- Must be separated from any BILH-affiliated facility for a minimum of 6 months prior to consideration
