What You Will Do:- Concept and requirements development, including decomposition and flowdown
- Concept of Operations (CONOPS) development and design
- Algorithm optimization and development
- Functional analysis of real world and test data; trade studies to bring advanced features to fielded system
- Multi-disciplinary development efforts across the kill-chain for an Air and Missile Defense System
- System integration and test support, including live fire test events
- Collaboration with customer to bring new capabilities to the warfighter
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 5 years of prior engineering experience or equivalent experience.
- Existing DoD security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Advanced degree in EE, CE, Physics, Math, ME, Aerospace
- Knowledge of Air Defense systems (for example - Patriot System)
- Experience with developing technical solutions to complex issues
- Experience with design of system level architecture
- Experience with DoD radar, battle management, or missile design and development programs
- Experience with 3-DOF/6-DOF modeling and simulation
- Experience with IBM Rational DOORS, Microsoft Office, IBM Rational Publishing Engine, and/or Dassault Systems Cameo
- Experience in requirements development
- Existing DoD Security Clearance
- Ability to multitask and adjust to changing priorities

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short‑term and/or long‑term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective‑bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
This role is a U.S.‑based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
