Senior Quality Engineer

Location : Commutable from Tewkesbury, Gloucester, Cheltenham, Worcester and surrounding areas

Salary : £45’000 – 50’000 depending on experience

A hands‑on senior quality role with full ownership of product quality across a high‑reliability manufacturing operation. You will lead the inspection function, protect the customer, and drive sustainable improvement, with the authority to stop production where quality is at risk.

A specialist engineering manufacturer operating in a regulated, high‑precision environment. The business supplies technically demanding products where quality, compliance, and consistency are critical. The operation combines complex manufacturing with a strong focus on continuous improvement and customer confidence.

• Lead and support the Quality Inspection team
• Own inspection performance and product release decisions
• Stop production where quality standards are at risk
• Act as the senior quality contact for customers and audits
• Lead structured investigations into non‑conformances
• Implement effective corrective and preventive actions
• Use quality data to identify trends and drive improvement
• Ensure compliance with customer and accreditation requirements

• Senior or Lead Quality Engineer experience in electronics, PCB manufacturing, or a similar high‑reliability environment
• Experience leading Quality Inspectors or technical teams
• Strong background in customer‑facing quality investigations
• Confident communicator able to challenge and influence at all levels
• Solid understanding of SPC, audits, and structured problem solving
