What

The Role Will Involve

As an experienced Professional, you will manage a portfolio of c £20M of Customer Service and Delivery contracts, delivering technical engineering services and supporting a diverse customer base. You will report to the Head of Customer Services and work closely with senior managers, peers and the Project Management Office.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure on‑time, on‑cost and on‑quality delivery of all customer service and support activities within the Information Resilience business, including management of a technical help‑desk service.
  • Manage and apportion product shipments to maximise revenue profiles.
  • Act as the primary customer focal point for on‑contract activity and provide status reporting on service contract performance and changes to customers and senior management.
  • Plan and design service capabilities to support business growth in line with strategic priorities and the 5‑Year Plan.
  • Specify and maintain products and projects in line with the strategic plan/technical roadmap, ensuring benefits alignment, end‑of‑life (EoL) and end‑of‑service (EoS) activities are planned and controlled.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal, external and customer stakeholders to develop successful product portfolios and competitive service solutions.
  • Contribute to competitive market and product strategies, recommending introductions, changes and enhancements over product life‑cycles.

    Harris’s strategic national and international objectives and provide pre‑sales technical support to the sales & BD team.
  • Act as a Voice of the Customer to prioritise and develop new products and services.
  • Deliver briefings to internal personnel to develop understanding of current and future product issues and capability gaps.
  • Define key outcomes and successful trial criteria; execute product trials and demonstrations in the UK and overseas to support sales & BD activities.
  • Support sales & BD personnel on customer visits to build and maintain relationships.
  • Support the marketing team in developing and winning Customer Funded Development (CFD) opportunities and manage or support associated bids.

    Harris Customer Services against market segment peers and best practice to identify performance improvement areas.
  • Support commercial aspects of assigned contracts including change control and adherence to terms.
  • Produce executive/operations reports as requested.
  • Manage a team, focusing on problem solving, brainstorming and mentorship of team members.
  • Manage staff, including briefings, appraisal, salary review, skills assessment, succession planning, career development and training.
What You’ll Bring
  • Ideally 10+ years of project management experience, including schedule, scope, risk, opportunities, resource, financial management and reporting.
