At Hinkley Point C, Brockworth
, we’re helping to build Britain’s first new nuclear power station in a generation providing zero‑carbon electricity for around six million homes. As a Tier One partner, GXO delivers essential warehousing and transport services to support the project.
Here at GXO, we’re looking for a Health & Safety Advisor to champion safety standards, drive a proactive safety culture, and support our teams across a complex and highly regulated environment.
This is a full‑time permanent position. You’ll be working Monday to Friday
, between the hours of 8am to 4pm
. However, some flexibility is required, this is logistics after all!
We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £35,000
, depending on experience and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). Your benefits package includes a company-sponsored pension scheme.
- Developing, leading and maintaining Management Plans, Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work (SSOW)
- Delivering and recording colleague safety training while identifying and escalating any gaps
- Inputting, analysing and reporting Health, Safety and Environment data into both GXO and Client systems
- Chairing and presenting at HSE meetings, ensuring actions are tracked, closed and escalated where required
- Managing contractors end-to-end from permit checks and inductions to compliance, pass control and exit requirements
- NEBOSH General Certificate or NVQ Level 3 in Health & Safety (plus evidence of ongoing CPD)
- Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and proven experience promoting a safety‑first culture
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build trusted relationships at all levels
- Experience with in construction, infrastructure or defence environments (ideal but not essential)
- Confidence in auditing, risk assessment, incident investigation and driving continuous improvement
