Job DescriptionMoog is looking for a Planner Buyer to join the Aircraft part of our business at our state‑of‑the‑art facility in Tewkesbury. You will build on new and existing relationships with suppliers and be responsible for the coordination and placement of purchase orders for a designated group of suppliers, including contract administration and coordination with the strategic sourcing and regional supply chain teams.
You will maintain part planning parameters, convert demand signals into purchase orders, liaise with Regional Supplier Leads to obtain delivery commitments, and coordinate feedback on site operational requirements to the regional supply chain team. Your communication skills will help you influence internal site functions, resolve issues between the Site and Regional supply chain, and ensure contractual terms are operationalized and any deviations resolved.
You have worked in a similar industry environment, procuring components, and understand the necessity of on‑time delivery, quality, and cost‑efficiency. Above all, you seek a new challenge that will strengthen your experience and lead to a long‑term career within an industry‑leading organization.
Key Expertise- Proven experience in manufacturing or engineering (preferably Aerospace) or Supply Chain
- Certification in Purchasing, Supply Chain, and Program Management; APICS or other industry standard certifications are a plus
- Sound understanding of ERP / MRP / DDMRP‑based material control systems preferred
- Good negotiating skills and knowledge of procurement processes
- Strong communication, influencing, and organizational skills; ability to understand complex regulations and procedures
- Capacity to handle multiple tasks and prioritize under pressure to meet deadlines
