Janitor​/Cleaning Specialist; Part-time

Overview

The Janitor/Cleaning Specialist is responsible for maintaining cleanliness inside and outside the building, as well as performing general maintenance and minor repairs. This is a part time position, up to 25 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Work hours are flexible between 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors.
• Clean windows and mirrors.
• Clean bathrooms and restock supplies such as soap and toilet paper.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen areas.
• Dust surfaces throughout the building.
• Empty trash and remove waste.
• Replace light bulbs as needed.
• Report unsafe conditions or the need for repairs to supervisor.
• Clean spills and other hazards using appropriate equipment.
• Organize and maintain janitorial storage areas.
• Assist with setup and cleanup for special events.
• Maintain outdoor areas such as the parking lot and break area by blowing grass, removing debris, and addressing hazards.

• Must understand and communicate in English for job-related instructions and safety.
• Ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Strong time management skills to work efficiently.
• Capable of performing routine maintenance.

• Previous janitorial or maintenance experience

• Exposure to varying temperatures, including cold or extreme heat.
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, push/pull, and reach overhead for extended periods.
• Must physically handle climbing ladders, bending, or crawling in confined spaces.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
