Position: Planificateur de production / Production Planner
Location: Terrebonne

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain short-, medium-, and long-term production plans based on demand (projects, customer orders).
  • Issue, monitor, and adjust production orders according to capacity, priorities, and constraints.
  • Manage unforeseen events and production emergencies (shortages, delays, shifting priorities) by developing and implementing solutions that minimize negative impacts on ongoing projects and customer orders.
  • Optimize production rates and workflows in collaboration with the plant supervisor to improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the purchasing team to ensure the availability of raw materials, components, and subcontracted services.
  • Ensure effective communication between production, sales, and project managers
  • Ensure delivery dates are met and communicate any impacts in case of changes.
  • Analyze production flow to anticipate labor requirements
  • Ensure daily material consumption and shipments are carried out to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Monitor inventory levels and recommend adjustments (min/max, safety stock).
  • Track performance indicators (lead times, output, efficiency) and propose adjustments as needed.
  • Improve planning processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
  • DEC in mechanical/industrial engineering or operations management, or equivalent experience.
  • 3–5 years of experience in planning within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong data analysis and decision-making skills
  • Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines
  • Rigor, autonomy, and a strong sense of responsibility
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Team player and excellent communication skills
  • Good knowledge of English (oral/written)
  • Excellent priority management.
  • Experience with ERP (knowledge of Business Central is an asset)
