Financial Analyst, Accounting Manager, Financial Reporting, Accounting & Finance
Reporting to the General Management, the Financial Controller is responsible for the complete management of the company’s financial and accounting activities.
They play a key role in preparing financial statements, developing and presenting performance indicators, analyzing cost prices, and implementing financial strategies to support growth and profitability.
This position requires a proactive individual capable of adapting quickly to a dynamic and constantly evolving manufacturing environment.
A true bridge between current systems and those to be implemented, they actively contribute to continuous improvement, the reliability of financial information, and the implementation of efficient processes.
Main Responsibilities Financial statements and compliance- Prepare, analyze, and present annual periodic financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and legal obligations.
- Liaise with the external accounting firm.
- Establish and monitor production costs.
- Analyze variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Manage cash flow and financial operations, and present these weekly to the executive committee.
- Actively participate in discussions with various financial partners.
- Develop budgets, forecasts, and profitability analyses.
- Support management in strategic decision-making (consulting role).
- Proactively manage applications for and follow-up on various grants.
- Develop and regularly monitor a performance indicator dashboard.
- Optimize financial processes and implement effective monitoring tools.
- Participation in the implementation of an inventory management system.
- Supervision of an individual primarily responsible for bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable tracking, and payroll management.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- CPA designation an asset.
- Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience in accounting/finance within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in accounting standards and accounting software.
- Excellent knowledge of Excel and the MS Office suite.
- Good understanding of the manufacturing process. Experience in the metal processing industry an asset.
- Ability to navigate change and adapt quickly.

- Analytical mindset and results-oriented.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
