Overview

Responsibilities- Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, obligations, etc. in health and safety matters and advise supervisors and workers on safe work methods; perform all other related tasks related to occupational health and safety; be present at site receptions; act as a resource person for occupational health and safety; issue recommendations related to site health and safety; inspect workplaces daily and ensure that employees comply with current health and safety standards;
ensure the implementation and monitoring of the site health and safety management program; develop work methods, procedures, analyze problem situations, and possible solutions; attend and lead safety breaks (as needed); prepare daily observation reports; participate in and lead site committees (as needed); participate in investigations following a workplace accident; take charge of special projects; assist CNESST inspectors during their site visits.
and Experience Sought
- Possess an ASP Construction card (an asset); possess an occupational health and safety certificate or equivalent experience; knowledge of the construction industry - 1 to 3 years of experience; knowledge of the LSST and the safety code for construction work; be autonomous; interpersonal skills; good ability adaptability; conflict resolution skills; teamwork skills.
