Job Title: Steward / Dishwasher

Location: Terre Haute, IN, US 47803 – Terre Haute Casino Resort

Summary: The Kitchen Steward / Dishwasher is responsible for the overall cleanliness of kitchen areas and dishware, tableware, and service ware under the guidance of the Kitchen Steward Supervisor.

• Clean according to standards the following items and areas: broilers, deep fryers, grills, ovens, range hoods, ware washing machines, floors, walk-ins. Carefully rinse all dishware, tableware, and service ware for restaurants before sending them through the dish machine.
• Follow Health & Safety standards as set forth by governmental agencies. Wash hands at each possible point of contamination. Clean, deck brushes, and mop all kitchen floors. Follow 3-compartment sink procedures. Weekly de-liming of each dish machine. Use all chemicals according to use, and know where data sheets are located. Report any malfunctions of the dishwashing machine, including temperatures (too low or too high) or any other type of equipment used.
  
  Set up, break down, and maintain all dishwashers. Empty all trash receptacles and cardboard boxes into dumpsters. Clean and maintain all cook lines. Other duties as assigned by supervisors to maintain kitchen operations.
• Assist with cleaning ice machines, hand sinks, and refilling paper towel and soap dispensers. Ensure inventory of clean floor signs is in good repair.
• Ability to multi-task and provide good internal customer service to team members. Availability to work when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights.

• Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Customer Service or Food & Beverage experience is preferred. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Certificates and Licenses: Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate and applicable licensing.

  The work environment is loud with occasional smoky conditions in portions of the casino. May endure hot and moist conditions. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs independently and more with assistance.
