Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position requiring at least 2 years of recent cath lab experience and current ACLS/BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Work in an acute care hospital Cardiac Cath Lab setting

• Monday through Friday, 8-hour day shifts from 7:00AM to 3:30PM

• No weekends, holidays, or on-call required

• Two lab suites with an average of 1 to 2 cases per day

• Patients include those requiring left and right heart catheterizations, pacemaker placements, and permacath procedures

• Utilizes Philips and GE rooms and XPER equipment

• Charting is completed using the MEDITECH EMR system; experience required

• No floating required to other units

• Daily responsibilities include pre, intra, and post-procedure care for cardiac cath lab patients

• Surgical scrubs (light blue) are provided for staff

• Support is available from charge nurse, manager, and Cath Lab techs onsite

• One shift of traveler orientation provided prior to starting regular duties

• Block scheduling is available with standard day shifts

Requirements

• Active IN or compact RN license

• Minimum 2 years of recent cardiac cath lab RN experience

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required

• Experience with MEDITECH EMR and XPER equipment is required
