Summary:

The primary responsibility of this position is to effectively plan supply chain processes to support both external and internal customers. The Material Planner will oversee the supply chain from ordering raw materials from suppliers to the assembly process on the production lines. Additional special supply chain projects may be assigned based on workload.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Communicate daily with logistics contacts at the supplier.
  • Ensure suppliers are shipping materials in accordance with requirements.
  • Monitor supplier performance and request corrective actions for delivery issues.
  • Assign and maintain transportation routes for designated suppliers.
  • Manage ramp-up and ramp-down processes for inbound materials.
  • Support other logistics areas as assigned by the Manager.
Education and/or

Experience:

A bachelor’s degree plus two years of job experience, or five years of experience in supply chain management, is preferred. Excellent communication skills and computer proficiency are required. Experience in repetitive manufacturing within an automated environment is a plus.

Computer and Technology

Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have experience with MRP systems (SAP preferred).

Proficiency of Microsoft Office products and internet usage is required.
