Directly responsible for the technical support of Operations, as well as project development and implementation. This position also assists in developing manufacturing processes and provide troubleshooting and problem resolution.
What You’ll Do- Provides technical support and solutions to operations regarding controls systems and safety devices.
- Troubleshoots problems with processes and hardware.
- Develops cost reduction, quality, and safety enhancement opportunities.
- Improves manufacturing processes and efficiency through analysis and workflow planning.
- Regularly scheduled program and system backups.
- Use advanced problem‑solving skills.
- Works with ME’s and Weld Engineer on various projects.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Education:
A bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or manufacturing engineering with 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, or the equivalent combination of experience and/or education is required. - High competency and knowledge of electro‑mechanical systems, PLC programming, and automated safety controls.
- Allen‑Bradley controls knowledge preferred;
Fanuc controls knowledge a plus. - Automation and heavy fabrication/manufacturing background with familiarity with robotic welding, laser cutting, and automated forming a plus.
- Understanding of process controllers, process logic, HMI programming, and related mechanical and field devices.
- Experience in networking/Ethernet controls.
- High understanding and knowledge of electrical safety regulations and codes.
- High understanding and knowledge of manufacturing processes.
- Computer skills including MS Office, RSLogix or other PLC programming software, AutoCAD.
- Analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong communication and organization skills.
- Self‑motivated.
- Office and plant environment.
- Keyboarding, lifting, standing, bending, walking.
