What You’ll Do
As the Truck Driver, you will operator Dyno Nobel trucks and other such plant equipment in order to deliver commercial explosives products to customers in a safe, timely, and efficient manner. You will be responsible for loading and unloading all trucks, and maintain magazines, sites, and inventories. Other duties will include:
Drive/operate a range of delivery vehicles over public roads in order to move or deliver explosive products to company or customer sites in a timely and safe mannerOperation of rigid-frame, engine-powered machines (skid steer or equivalent)Possess basic mechanical skills and the ability to troubleshoot and perform minor repairs or maintenance while in the field, deliver and off load product within DN H&S Management System procedures and practicesDrive/operate a range of delivery vehicles over public roads in order to move or deliver explosive products to company or customer sites in a timely and safe manner. Driving duties will also frequently extend off of public roads to include mine locations/roads, FSRs, off-road field locations and other such potentially difficult terrainFollow all safety procedures and maintain safe working conditions in the shop, while driving and operating equipment and while on blast sites in order to protect personal safety and safety of othersPrepare and maintain all records and reports concerning the handling and transportation of explosive products, including safety, and the use and detonation of explosives, in order to ensure accurate billing, regulatory compliance, and performance historyMaintain safe working conditions and assure that all crew members and others on the site follow all safety and regulatory procedures and practices to ensure a safe and successful eventResponsible for Inventory ManagementWhat We’re Looking For:
Minimum Class 3 with Air Brakes endorsement required12+ months of commercial driving requiredPrevious work experience with explosives preferredMust satisfy the requirements for NRCAN Explosives Handling PermitAcquire and maintain all appropriate licenses and certifications required by Federal and Provincial entitiesExperience with Inventory Management a plusAbility to read, write, and speak English, and to communicate in writing and verballyMust be at least 21 years of ageBasic computer knowledge is neededMust be able to move items weighing up to 60lbs, repetitively, over the course of a working dayPositive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team playerZero Harm for Everyone Everywhere
