QMN currently occupies nine facilities in the Antioch/LaVergne area with over 3000 employees... and GROWING! We are currently seeking candidates for the following position!
Position Summary:
Responsible for daily management of outbound shipments. Must effectively coordinate internally with Operations to determine units that are available to ship and externally with carriers to arrange pick-up and shipment of units.
- Outbound Shipment Processing.
- Schedule and coordinate daily outbound shipments.
- Ensure timely dispatch of goods in accordance with customer requirements and delivery timelines.
- Verify shipment contents and packaging standards.
- Liaise with freight forwarders and carriers to arrange transportation.
- Obtain and compare freight quotes to optimize cost and delivery performance.
- Track shipments and resolve any transit-related issues.
- Documentation & Invoicing.
- Prepare and review shipping documents including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and export declarations.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with international trade regulations.
- Generate invoices and ensure proper documentation is sent to customers and internal departments.
- SAP Inventory Management
- Use SAP to manage inventory transactions related to outbound shipments.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure availability.
- Maintain accurate records of goods shipped and inventory adjustments.
- Ensure all shipments comply with company policies and applicable laws.
- Maintain records for audits and reporting purposes.
- Provide regular updates and reports to management on shipping activities.
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in shipping, logistics, or supply chain coordination.
Skills And Abilities
- Proficiency in SAP (MM/SD modules preferred).
- Strong understanding of international shipping documentation and freight coordination.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with freight forwarders and customs brokers.
- Familiarity with Incoterms and export compliance.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control.
- Sit for prolonged period.
