Utility Route Driver

UTILITY ROUTE DRIVER (FULL TIME)

Location: Canteen – 823 Washington Street, Newbern, Tennessee 38059.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays possible.
Pay range: $23.75 to $50.00 per hour.
Commission eligibility: May be included.
Internal Employee Referral Bonus: Available.

Drives company-owned truck over an established route to deliver and sell products or render services, collects money from machines, and makes change.

• Service a particular route or location during absence of regular route or warehouse employee.
• Assist Customer Service Managers with opening/closing operations and train new route service personnel.
• Drive truck to deliver items such as soft drinks, bakery products, specialty foods, snack items and sundries to customers' places of business.
• Place stock on shelves or racks in vending machines. Collect stale, rejected or unsold merchandise. Collect money from machines and refill bill and coin changers.
• Record transactions on appropriate card and/or electronic device; account for cash and product.
• Call on existing customers to determine adequacy of service; inform them of new products and/or services; listen to and resolve service complaints.
• Select items from warehouse and load truck; prepare order forms for food and pastry products.
• Perform routine maintenance on and sanitation of machines.
• Set up merchandise and sales promotion displays or issue sales promotion materials to customers.
• Maintain clean and safe work environment; perform job safely.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Valid driver's license; ability to operate company vehicles safely in accordance with traffic laws.
