Title: Event Scoreboard Operator / Scorekeeper (Baseball) - All-Ripken Games Organization: Unrivaled Sports | All-Ripken Games Position Type: Seasonal / Event-Based Location: Pigeon Forge, TN Event Dates: August 13th- 16th, 2026
Position Overview: Unrivaled Sports is seeking reliable, detail-oriented Scoreboard Operators / Scorekeepers to support game operations at the All-Ripken Games and other premier baseball events. This role is critical to ensuring accurate scoring, timely scoreboard updates, and a professional game-day experience for players, coaches, scouts, and families. Scoreboard Operators work closely with umpires and event staff to track game action, maintain official scores, and operate electronic or manual scoreboards throughout the event.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate electronic or manual scoreboards during live baseball games
- Accurately track and record:
- Runs, hits, errors
- Balls, strikes, and outs
- Pitch counts (when required)
- Communicate clearly with umpires and event staff regarding game status and scoring questions
- Ensure scoreboard information is correct and updated in real time
- Follow All-Ripken Games rules, timing procedures, and event guidelines
- Arrive on time and remain attentive for the duration of assigned games
- Assist with basic setup or breakdown of scoreboard equipment as needed
- Maintain a professional and positive presence with coaches, parents, and staff
- Strong understanding of baseball rules and scoring
- Prior experience as a scorekeeper or scoreboard operator preferred (but not required)
- Ability to stay focused in a fast-paced, outdoor environment
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Dependable, punctual, and professional
- Comfortable using electronic tablets, scoreboards, or basic scoring systems
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and work in varying weather conditions
- Be part of one of the premier youth baseball experiences in the country
- Work in a high-energy, professional tournament environment
- Gain experience in sports event operations
