Overview
Mountain Youth Academy (a UHS company) is seeking a Residential Manager to join our growing team. This role requires a successful background check, fingerprinting and employment verification. Mountain Youth Academy is a 120-bed residential treatment facility located near Johnson City, TN, Boone, NC, and Abingdon, VA. We assist in the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of behavioral health issues for young adolescent patients.
ResponsibilitiesPRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (included, but are not limited to, the following)
- Provide efficient and effective management and coordination of activities of the assigned shift and assist in the supervision of all direct care staff to assure the safety and security of the facility at all times.
- Observe and report physical and behavioral symptoms as a member of the program team under the direction of the Director of Residential Services or Assistant Director of Residential Services.
- Serve as a role model to staff and students in dress and demeanor.
- Exercise appropriate interventions under the direction of the Residential Manager.
- Perform proper health, safety, and wellness (HWC) techniques, demonstrating knowledge of patient and staff safety; complete debriefings as indicated.

QualificationsPOSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Position requires an Associate’s Degree and 1 year of experience in a residential setting for youth, or 3 years of residential experience.
