SummaryOf Essential Functions And Responsibilities
- Provide preventive maintenance such as checking fuel systems, electrical systems, brakes, and changing oil to avoid breakdowns
- Perform daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles under the oversight of an Automotive Service Technician II or III
- Execute routine and scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes, lubrications, and tune‑ups
- Lubricate equipment in accordance with established procedures and charts; check and change oil, oil filters, air filters, fuels, and service Trams, Host shuttles, and other vehicles; replace hoses, belts, water pumps, batteries, and similar parts
- Check wiper blades and other safety equipment; inspect radiators and batteries; check water and antifreeze levels; check tire pressure; repair flat tires and change tires as necessary
- Follow checklists to ensure all important components are examined, including belts, hoses, steering systems, spark plugs, brake and fuel systems, wheel bearings, and other potential trouble areas
- Perform diversified electrical work on automotive and related equipment, such as servicing, installing batteries and terminals, repairing and adjusting lights, and repairing generators and starters
- Respond to routine and emergency calls for repairs and service
- Assist Automotive Service Technicians II or III in performing moderate to complex overhaul and repair work on engines, transmissions, drive units, brakes, suspension systems, hydraulic systems, fuel systems, cooling systems, alternators, electrical systems, instrumentations, and other power equipment
- Troubleshoot by referring to technical manuals and libraries while using a systematic approach
- Maintain records of work performed and the need for future service; input in logbooks; document inspections, corrective action, and parts used
- Use a variety of testing equipment such as ammeters, voltmeters, and gauges to determine malfunctions and repair needs
- Test drive or evaluate vehicle or equipment performance after service to ensure optimum operation
- Learn and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following Dollywood policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities
- Consistently practice safe work habits, including personal protective equipment, lifting equipment, and reporting unsafe situations
- Keep all records up to date and organized in an accessible format (logbooks, inspection forms, work orders, etc.)
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications
- Assist in maintaining inventory of spare parts, hardware, and tools
- Clean maintenance shop, including stations, equipment, and tools
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Completion of a standard high school, trade, or vocational school course (or equivalent experience and training)
- ASE certification preferred
- 2 years of experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining automobiles
- Proficiency in all areas of automotive repair
- Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions of the trade
- Valid driver’s license and proof of auto liability insurance for company vehicle use
- Must pass a pre‑employment drug test and background check
