Maintenance Operator-17 - 2nd shift

Onsite – Selmer, TN
- Troubleshoot and repair production equipment and supporting systems.
- Provide adjustments or calibrations as needed throughout the facility.
- Execute maintenance assignments under the direction of the Maintenance Manager.
- Perform preventative maintenance per CMMS schedule (weekly, monthly, and/or annually) and recognize and correct potential equipment failure or unsafe conditions as needed.
- Perform welding fabrication to new and existing equipment.
- Perform new construction and/or repairs in the facility, equipment moves and installation, which includes plumbing, carpentry, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical and electrical.
- Read, interpret, and understand blueprint for mechanical, pneumatic, electrical and hydraulic systems.
- Participate in various training programs designed for maintenance and enhancement of job skills.
- Know, understand, and adhere to all occupational health and safety policies and procedures set forth by ABB.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance required.
- Knowledge in industrial electrical required.
- Certifications preferred.
- Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
- PLC programming and troubleshooting knowledge preferred.
- Proficient in various maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, and general repairs.
- Ability to diagnose all types of machine issues and develop effective solutions quickly and effectively.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) to interact with team members and report on maintenance activities. Passing on information between shifts is a must through verbal, written and the CMMS system.
- Careful attention to detail to ensure all tasks are completed correctly, safely and recorded.
- Strong electrical and mechanical skills.
- Ability to understand and read mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic blueprints.
- Familiar with wastewater treatment practices is a plus.
- Familiar with all OSHA, NFPA 70, and EPA practices and policies associated with the job.
- Understand, practice, and enforce safe work practices related to respiratory protection, elevated work platforms, fall protection, lock out/tag out, electrical safety, and hoists.
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge and skills in forklift/Scissor Lift operation, welding, cutting, general maintenance equipment operations, confined space entry, and PPE practices.
- CMMS experience in an industrial environment is a plus.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, with the ability to learn other software programs.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Self‑motivated, willing to take the initiative.
- Flexibility to work overtime or weekends as needed.
