Location: Adams
Duties
* Performs the full spectrum of police officer duties within the assigned jurisdictions.
* Conducts Investigations/Surveillance.
* Performs as Base Defense Operations Center (BDOC) Controller.
* Performs emergency response and incident command and control. Requirements Conditions of employment

* Selectee is expected to be granted with and/or maintain the appropriate security clearance required for the position.
* Relocation costs or other incentives may be available and considered by the organization.
* This posn is subject to provisions of the DoD Priority Placement Program
* This position may require drug testing and the candidate may be subject to passing a drug test upon selection.
* Employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, to include evenings, weekends and/or holidays;
Shift work and emergency overtime may be required
* Employee must maintain current certifications

* Direct Deposit:
All federal employees are required to have direct deposit.
* The work requires, on a regular and recurring basis, considerable and strenuous physical exertion such as frequent climbing of multiple flights of stairs, and while on entry control, they will be lifting heavy bollards weighing over 50 pounds.
* It requires stamina, physical agility and dexterity and the strength to pursue, apprehend or detain. This position requires the performance of a Physical Agility Test which reflects the bona-fide occupational physical qualifications for the position.
* Moderate and high risks and possible endangerment of life or serious injury that requires the exercise of safety precautions and use o fpersonal protective equipment such as ballistic vests, coats, gloves, boots, goggles, masks, shields, etc.
* Incumbent must qualify and remain qualified in the use of required weapons, as the incumbent will be required to use firearms in performing duties.
* This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.
* Must pass an initial pre-employment medical examination, periodic medical examinations, required initial and annual physical fitness/physical agility tests.
* The incumbent must immediately report to his supervisor any significant medical threshold shifts in health status and/or medication requirements.
* Must undergo initial job compatibility assessment.
* Incumbent must possess a valid driver's license and be able to operate all security forces vehicles and installed equipment. Qualifications Other significant facts pertaining to this position are:
* Subject to duty position evaluation on a pass/fail standard in accordance with AFI 36-2646, Security Forces Training And Standardization Evaluation Programs.
* Must pass formal law enforcement training school as determined by AF/A4S and obtain DoD Peace Officer Standardization and Training Certification.
* Incumbent will be exposed to the day-to-day dangers associated with law enforcement and security duties.
* Incumbent is subject to possible civil action due to improper exercises of authority or injudicious use of force in the apprehension or detention of individuals.
* Incumbent is required to obtain first responder training/certifications in CPR technique's, self-aid buddy care, and first aid on the job and maintain annually.
* Recurring training is required to keep the incumbent knowledgeable on the updated specialized tactics, teclmiques and procedures necessary for preparation and response to catastrophic events, terrorist attacks and related threats to installations.
* Ability to employ 'infantry/SWAT' small unit tactics involving fire and maneuver, with rapid advancing movement between defensive positions, while wearing protective gear for extended periods of time, (e.g. Employing "Active Shooter" response tactics and techniques as a member of a small team is required).
* This is a Mission Essential (ME) position performing a Mission Critical Function (MCF) which must continue uninterrupted after the occurrence of an emergency and continued through full resumption of all functions. IAW, DoDI 3020-42, Defense Continuity Programs.
* Must obtain and maintain a government travel card. Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station.
* The incumbent must obtain and maintain qualifications and/or certifications for the following:
Flight Armorer, Active Vehicle Barrier, National Crime Information Center (NCIC), Emergency Management Systems, Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS), Standardized Field Sobriety Test (SFST), Advanced Roadside Impaired Driving Enforcement (ARIDE), Security Forces Management Information System (SFMIS),…
