Plans, organizes, and directs all quality control, environmental, health and safety compliance for the operational and support activities associated with the contract. This position is located in Midway Atoll. Work model:
Onsite/In-Office.
- Responsible for overall development, implementation, and maintenance of applicable Quality Control, Health & Safety, and Environmental plans and procedures in accordance with contract requirements and company policy.
- Prepare incident reports to maintain accurate records of all work‑related mishaps per OSHA standards.
- Implement a site‑specific safety plan, including the Emergency Action Plan, and maintain compliance with agency SPCC and Facility Response Plans in accordance with the provisions of the contract and company policy.
- Manage PPE program by procurement of proper equipment and employee training.
- Develop and implement a system to manage hazardous materials and SDS in accordance with OSHA Hazard Communication standards.
- Manage all applicable OSHA programs including PPE, respiratory protection, fire prevention, fall protection, machine and tool safety, and electrical safety.
- Coordinate and execute employee safety training as required.
- Responsible for coordinating employee medical monitoring with healthcare professional in accordance with company policy and industry standards.
- Perform various environmental/ industrial hygiene tests and measurements by utilizing instruments and laboratory sampling techniques.
- Monitor environmental compliance programs in accordance with contract requirements.
- Manage quality control database by updating inspection requirements, collecting data, generating reports, etc. in accordance with contract requirements.
- Coordinate with agency representatives and company management in correcting safety compliance deficiencies.
- Develop and maintain a variety of records and technical reports in accordance with regulatory standards and contract requirements.
- Complete shipping manifest for cargo, hazwaste, fuel residue, and empty containers.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- U.S. citizenship.
- 1 or 2 years of field experience in Occupational Safety/Health, Industrial Hygiene or Environmental.
- Working knowledge of OSHA General Industry and/or Construction standards, NFPA, DOT hazmat, and applicable environmental regulations.
