Overview
Learning the functionality of company CRM and ERP systems (Salesforce, SXe, Power
BI) to properly locate important customer information, product information, and execute quote and order entry. Assisting Account Managers with Customer Inquiries through the Power & Tel website and provide quotes or information to the customer as needed.
- Conduct outbound call engagements (prospecting) and develop quality leads/opportunities to pass to the appropriate Account Manager within a specified region.
- Accurately forecast and track leads & activities (calls, emails, meetings) using Salesforce CRM.
- Convey product knowledge to potential customers/prospects, adhering to company messaging and positioning.
- Consult with prospects to uncover how Power & Telephone Supply can solve their business challenges, then work with customers to define opportunities and allocate to other sales channels.
- Assist Territory Account Manager in recapturing “Lost Customers” that have not purchased from Power & Tel.
- Maintains customer files (current quotes, correspondence, plans, problems, etc.) and updates customer information in the computer system.
- Enters quotes and orders into the computer system while on the phone with the customer.
- Assists in advising District Sales Managers (DSMs) of all pending quotations, bids, leads, competitive information, and sales possibilities.
- Establishes GP% to be used in bids, processes Return Authorizations, sends out correspondence & literature, and works back-order reports.
- Maintains close contact with the Purchasing Department (advises of low/high stock levels, competitive market prices, and vendor pricing discrepancies).
- Set up initial and follow up calls on high-quality sales opportunities including leads from P&T marketing campaigns, distribution partners, trade shows and conferences.
- Serve as backup to Account Managers that are on vacation within a specific territory.
- Quickly and confidently qualify leads with customer service.
- Department cross-training & self-development, focusing on the skills and/or attributes that will make you successful in your core role and get you set for future success and advancement.
- Maintain the integrity of the ERP/CRM systems by updating or deleting obsolete customer information and notes when necessary.

High School Diploma. A college degree is preferred, but is not required.
Experience RequiredThe successful candidate will have 1 to 2 years previous sales or Customer Service experience. Wholesale distribution experience is preferred, but is not required.
