Job DescriptionAs a Merchandiser with American Greetings, you are a vital part of our company’s purpose: helping people celebrate holidays, each other, and all of life’s special moments by making the world a more thoughtful and caring place every single day. You will work independently across various retail locations, showcasing your organization and time‑management skills to display and maintain inventory levels of our celebrations products including greeting cards, gift‑wrap accessories, party goods, plush, and more.
Pay- Starting pay: $11.70 per hour, with two increases during the first year (rates subject to change based on work location).
- After 6 months: $12.40 per hour.
- After 1 year: $13.00 per hour.

This role will service stores in the Hohenwald, TN area. The weekly average is 4 hours per week, which may increase to an average of 10 hours per week around major holidays. Ideal candidates are available during daytime hours, especially Monday mornings, and can accommodate additional days and extended hours leading up to and immediately following major holidays.
Primary Responsibilities- Service stores on your assigned route, including merchandising and organizing product orders, displaying products within greeting card departments and other retail locations, maintaining an organized backroom area, and other inventory tasks as needed.
- Communicate with store management any questions or concerns regarding service or schedules.
- Work in a fast‑paced retail environment utilizing effective time‑management and organizational skills.
- Build relationships with retail store associates and management during daytime retail business hours.
- Provide occasional assistance with store resets, which may include minor fixture work, product assembly, relocation, or removal as requested.
- Review and plan your weekly service schedule and workload using a company‑issued tablet.
- Work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry cartons and merchandise. No experience necessary; we will train you.
Qualifications- 18 years or older.
- English language proficiency (speaking, reading, writing).
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Reliable transportation (most routes have multiple retail locations).
- Reliable internet access to receive critical job information and updates.
- Technological competency – able to learn and use a company‑provided tablet for training and daily tasks.
- Availability to meet scheduling needs, including occasional weekends and days before/after major holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
Work involves moving up to 40 pounds throughout the sales floor and backrooms. You must be able to stand, walk, stoop, and squat throughout the workday. A step stool may be used to complete some tasks. The listed physical demands are representative of the requirements for this job.
